Igls
Igls, Austria is situated just outside Innsbruck, the internationally renowned winter sports centre and twice hosted the Olympic Winter Games. It will also host the first Winter Youth Olympics in 2012. The charming town of Igls is situated only 5 km from Innsbruck which still preserves its medieval core, the historic Old Town with its narrow, twisting streets and tall houses in late Gothic style. It is also a university town and offers a lot for students and young people especially in terms of the nightlife.
The SYS short break gives the opportunity to take part in the ‘Ice Experience’ you will never forget! During an action packed 72 hours, you will be given the chance to experience; Bobsleigh, Bob Skeleton and the ‘tray racing’’ all on the Igls Olympic bobsleigh track under the expert tuition of Tony Wallington OBE - a bobsleigh Olympian from 2 Olympic Winter Games. Beginners in Bobsleigh and Bob Skeleton can expect to experience an adrenaline rush at the very top end of the scale; followed by an equivalent endorphin high! For those who have the ‘kamikaze’ in them we can also arrange for you to ride the ‘Wok’!
