Where Winter ? – we have selected * 4 Olympic venues for our Winter events
- St Moritz – Switzerland: Hosts to *2 Olympic Winter Games – home of the ‘Cresta Run’ and the only remaining ‘natural’ bob sleigh run. A Winter paradise!
- Innsbruch/ Igls – Austria: Hosts to *2 Olympic Winter Games – the venue where the British pair Nash and Dixon won the Olympic Gold medal in 2 man bob in 1964
- Lillehammer / Hunderfossen – Norway: Host City for 1994 Olympic Winter Games – with the outstanding legacy of Winter Sports facilities for our clients to enjoy.
- Turin/ Cesana - Pariol- Italy: the venue for all 'ice sliding sports' during the 2006 Olympic Winter Games - where Shelley Rudman won the Olympic Silver medal for women's bob skeleton.
Where Summer ?
- Norway - Lillehammer and North - SYS have discovered that Norway is far more than a Winter playground - the bob track remains open and the Olympic ski slopes become extreme mountain bike tracks - the Soja River provides some of the best white water rafting in the World - and for keen skiiers who want to blend Winter into Summer - we have access to off piste areas rarely visited by any one but 'those in the know'!
- Spain - Ascari in Andalucia - SYS have nurtured, through the 'Outed' Stig, a very special relationship with the privately owned Formula One race circuit at 'Ascari' - often featured in the BBC Top Gear programme and famous for its top of the range sports cars and expert coaching.
When?
As soon as Winter commences – the earliest track to open is Lillehammer 1st October – followed by Igls, Cesana - Pariol and St Moritz bobsleigh and cresta – tracks remain open – depending on the weather conditions – until late February to mid March.
With the arrival of Spring - SYS moves into its Summer programme - making the most of the seasons.
